Connor Dewar - Re-signs with club Dewar agreed to terms on a two-year, $1.6 million contract with Minnesota on Wednesday.
Impact Dewar's deal is one-way in nature which means he should be expected to spend the bulk of the season up in the NHL considering he would have to go on waivers in order to be demoted to the minors. In 35 games last season, the 22-year-old center generated two goals on 44 shots, four assists and 48 hits despite averaging just 9:54 of ice time.

Jared Spurgeon - Undergoes surgery Spurgeon recently had surgery for a core muscle injury and is expected to be fully recovered in six weeks, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Impact Spurgeon played in 50 of the team's final 52 games of the season, producing 32 points across an average 21:27 of ice time during that span while bothered with the abdominal issue. The Wild captain should be fully healed well in advance of training camp opening in mid-September.

Mats Zuccarello - Nursing multiple injuries Zuccarello is set to have surgery for a core muscle injury and also has a fracture in his leg, Michael Russo of The Athletic reports.
Impact The recovery timetable for the surgery is about six weeks, while the fracture is expected to heal with rest. Considering training camp is three-plus months away, Zuccarello should be back to full health heading into his age-35 season. Despite the injuries, the Norwegian had the best campaign of his NHL career in 2021-22, rattling off 79 points in 70 regular-season games.
