DJ LeMahieu - Reaches base three times LeMahieu went 1-for-3 with two runs scored, two walks and a stolen base in Monday's 9-5 win over the Athletics.
Impact LeMahieu walked and scored in both the fifth and seventh innings Monday. He also stole his second base of the year and his first since May 2. After hitting .229 in May, the veteran infielder is 22-for-82 (.268) with 16 runs scored and six extra-base hits in 23 games this month. LeMahieu is slashing .261/.256/.403 on the year.

Jordan Montgomery - Coughs up five runs Montgomery allowed five runs on six hits and a walk over 6.2 innings in Monday's win over Oakland. He struck out six and did not factor in the decision.
Impact Montgomery was thrashed for five runs during a disastrous third inning that included a three-run double by Elvis Andrus. After that, he gave up just one hit over his final 3.2 frames. He's allowed nine runs across 12.2 innings over his last two starts, raising his season ERA from 2.72 to 3.27 in the process. Montgomery now owns a 64:14 K:BB through 15 starts. The 29-year-old is lined up to start in Cleveland this weekend.

Anthony Rizzo - Expected back Tuesday Rizzo (elbow) expects to be in the lineup Tuesday against Oakland, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact Rizzo was forced to exit Monday's game in the eighth inning after getting hit by a pitch in the elbow. However, he was diagnosed with just a bruise and is not expected to need further testing. Prior to being removed, Rizzo recorded his 20th home run and scored a pair of runs.

Impact Torres sustained a mild ankle sprain Sunday against the Astros but has moved past that issue ahead of Monday's series opener against Oakland. However, he underwent an MRI on his wrist that revealed inflammation, and Torres received a shot to address the injury with the hope that it speeds up his recovery time. It's not yet clear whether his wrist issue will lead to a trip to the injured list.

Aroldis Chapman - Slated for another rehab appearance Chapman (Achilles) will make a rehab appearance at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact Chapman's appearance in Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday is expected to be his final rehab outing prior to him rejoining the major-league club. Over his first two Triple-A appearances, he struck out two in two scoreless innings. It's possible that the Yankees wait to activate the southpaw from the injured list Thursday if they don't want him to pitch on back-to-back days, but his return is imminent. Manager Aaron Boone said Monday that Clay Holmes has "certainly earned the closer's role," so it's possible that the Yankees ease Chapman back into action with some setup duties, Laura Albanese of Newsday reports.

JP Sears - Starting Tuesday The Yankees will call up Sears from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre to start Tuesday's game against the Athletics, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.
Impact Although the Yankees' starters are fully healthy, Sears will make a spot start against the Athletics to give the team's other starters an additional day of rest. Over his first three appearances (one start) of the season, the southpaw struck out seven in seven scoreless innings. Sears is likely to be returned to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Tuesday's outing.

Anthony Volpe - Swats walk-off homer in Double-A Volpe went 1-for-4 with a walk-off two-run home run, an additional run and an additional RBI in Double-A Somerset's extra-inning win over Hartford on Sunday.
Impact The 21-year-old's 10th-inning blast not only won the game for Somerset, it also clinched a spot in the Eastern League playoffs. The homer was the fourth in the past nine games for Volpe, who also has eight RBI and five stolen bases during that span. The prized prospect started off slowly with a .183 average through his first 38 games this season, but he's turned things around with a .314/.375/.569 slash line, five homers, 16 RBI and nine thefts over his past 25 contests.

DJ LeMahieu - Slugs clutch homer LeMahieu went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 6-3 extra-inning win against the Astros on Sunday.
Impact The Yankees entered the seventh inning of the contest without a hit one day after being no-hit by a trio of Houston pitchers. Giancarlo Stanton broke the spell with a solo homer in the seventh, and LeMahieu followed with a two-run blast in the eighth that tied the score 3-3. It was the infielder's fourth homer in June and seventh overall this season. LeMahieu is slashing .303/.425/.515 with a pair of long balls, five RBI, five runs and a 7:4 BB:K over his past 10 games.
11 HOURS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Giancarlo Stanton - Blasts 17th homer Stanton went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Sunday in an extra-inning win over the Astros.
Impact After being no-hit by Houston on Saturday, the Yankees failed to record a base knock through 6.1 frames Sunday. Stanton finally broke the spell with his seventh-inning solo shot to center field, igniting a New York rally that ended with an Aaron Judge walk-off homer in the 10th. Stanton has gone 3-for-15 over his past four games, with all three hits leaving the yard. To extend that further, the slugger is batting a paltry .098 over his past 12 contests, yet all four of his hits over 41 at-bats during that stretch have been homers.
