Impact Driedger will be sidelined for most of the 2022-23 campaign at a minimum, so the Kraken will undoubtedly be looking to add another netminder this offseason. The 28-year-old netminder went 9-14-1 while posting a 2.96 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 27 appearances with Seattle in 2021-22.

Will Borgen - Makes progress late in season Borgen finished 2021-22 with eight points in 36 contests.
Impact Borgen saw almost no playing time early in the year before injuries opened up a chance for him throughout December and January. He then stepped into a full-time role following the trades of Mark Giordano to Toronto and Jeremy Lauzon to Nashville at the deadline. Borgen added 89 hits, 49 shots on net, 28 PIM and a plus-1 rating, but he rarely saw more than third-pairing usage. The 25-year-old will be in a contract year in 2022-23 ahead of restricted free agency.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Haydn Fleury - Can't grab full-time gig Fleury made just 36 appearances with the Kraken this season.
Impact Fleury showed promise with a two-goal game back on Oct. 28 versus the Wild, but those were his only tallies of the season. He added two assists, 52 shots on net, 60 hits and 62 blocked shots while struggling to establish himself in the lineup even after the Kraken had a fire sale at the trade deadline. The 25-year-old is set for restricted free agency this summer, though his place in the lineup could be further threatened if the Kraken make a splash for a blueliner in the open market after a brutally poor defensive season that saw them yield 3.46 goals per game.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Philipp Grubauer - Season to forget Grubauer ended 2021-22 with an 18-31-5 record, a 3.16 GAA and an .889 save percentage in 55 games.
Impact Grubauer went from Vezina candidate with the Avalanche in 2020-21 to one of the statistically worst starters in the league in 2021-22 despite playing a career high in games. That happened because backups Chris Driedger and Joey Daccord failed to do much better behind a porous Kraken defense. Grubauer's neither as bad as he was last season nor as good as the year before -- somewhere in the middle would shake out to about a 2.60 GAA and a .905 save percentage if he can get a little help from his teammates in the Kraken's second campaign.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Jamie Oleksiak - Steady as ever in 2021-22 Oleksiak posted a goal and 16 assists in 72 games this season.
Impact Oleksiak added 182 hits and 86 blocked shots, as physicality remains his top contribution. The 29-year-old played in a top-four role throughout the year for the Kraken, and his minus-1 rating is a positive sign given how poor the team's defense was in general. Oleksiak signed a five-year deal with the Kraken prior to the expansion draft, so he'll remain a defensive stalwart on the team's blue line for years to come.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Yanni Gourde - Fills role well Gourde had 21 goals, 27 assists, 127 shots on net and 77 hits in 74 games this season.
Impact Gourde was pretty much everything he was expected to be after being one of the bigger names selected by the Kraken in their expansion draft. The versatile 30-year-old played mostly as a center, moving between the first and third lines as head coach Dave Hakstol often opted to mix things up. Gourde's 48 points including seven on the power play and four while shorthanded. His strong all-situations play will likely act as a safety net for Matty Beniers in 2022-23 -- expect Gourde to draw the tougher assignments to allow Beniers free reign on offense as he adapts to the grind of a full NHL campaign.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Jordan Eberle - Mixed results in Seattle Eberle posted 21 goals, 23 assists and a minus-28 rating in 79 games in 2021-22.
Impact Free from the Islanders' defense-first approach, Eberle enjoyed his first 20-goal campaign since 2017-18, though two shortened seasons likely played a role in that decrease in scoring. However, his defensive numbers suffered -- the minus-28 rating was by far the worst of his career. Consistency was also an issue for the 32-year-old, but he finished fairly well with seven points in his last 14 contests. Eberle should remain in a top-six role for 2022-23, while also serving as one of the Kraken's veteran leaders.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Vince Dunn - Matches career high in points Dunn (upper body) finished 2021-22 with 35 points (seven goals, 28 assists) in 73 contests.
Impact Dunn missed the last four games of the season with the injury, which denied him the opportunity to set a new high mark in points. Eleven of his points came on the power play, and he added 82 blocked shots, 76 hits and 63 PIM, showing increased grit in his first year with the Kraken. The 25-year-old will be playing for a new contract in 2022-23, so he could be looking to play at his best to gain more value in his new deal.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Adam Larsson - Seattle's ironman Larsson posted a career-high 25 points while playing in all 82 games this season.
Impact Larsson was the only Kraken player to appear in every game, an impressive achievement given his often physical style. In addition to his success on offense, the 29-year-old had 183 hits, 140 blocked shots and 55 PIM. The Kraken's poor defense and goaltending can be blamed for his minus-23 rating -- Larsson did his part as a solid contributor, though it's hard to imagine him improving on his scoring total in 2022-23 even if the Kraken are a bit more competitive.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Kole Lind - Earns first NHL points Lind recorded eight points in 23 contests this season.
Impact Lind had seven NHL games under his belt as a Canuck last year, but didn't get on the scoresheet in any of them. He got a little more of a look after the Kraken selected him in their expansion draft, but the bulk of his action came at AHL Charlotte, where he had 35 points and 106 PIM in 46 games. He may need a little more time in the AHL in 2022-23, but Lind should push to establish himself as a full-time NHLer in the near future, even if he's limited to a bottom-six role.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Ryan Donato - Breaks 30-point mark Donato notched 16 goals, 31 points, 159 shots on net and 70 hits in 74 contests this season.
Impact Donato perhaps flew under the radar a bit, signing with the Kraken as a free agent in September. The 26-year-old went on to establish career-best production across the board while seeing some top-six usage. He shot a reasonable 10.1 percent last year, so regression shouldn't hit too hard if he remains in a top-six role at even strength. Donato could therefore have some appeal in deeper fantasy formats in 2022-23 as a depth forward.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Victor Rask - Pending free agent Rask posted 21 points in 47 games between the Wild and the Kraken in 2021-22.
Impact By now, the book is written on Rask -- he's a solid secondary scorer with no physicality and not much speed. He's done well in his career to make the most of low shot totals. The 29-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this summer if he doesn't put pen to paper on a new deal with the Kraken. Wherever he plays in 2022-23, he'll likely serve as no more than a middle-six option who is often a candidate to get scratched if he slumps given that he doesn't bring enough intangibles to command a full-time role.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Karson Kuhlman - Sees larger role in Seattle Kuhlman notched 10 points in 44 contests between the Bruins and the Kraken in 2021-22.
Impact Kuhlman couldn't hold a spot in the Bruins' lineup, but the Kraken provided him with a change of scenery by claiming him on waivers in March. Eight of his 10 points came in 25 games with the Kraken -- that projects for roughly a 32-point pace in a full campaign. The 26-year-old probably has a good chance to get resigned by the Kraken as a restricted free agent, given that he saw as much as second-line usage towards the end of the campaign. He's more of a physical force than a scorer, but he'd likely be a solid fit in a third-line role in 2022-23.
MAY 17 โ€ข ROTOWIRE
Carson Soucy - Impressive despite limits Soucy posted 10 goals, 11 assists and 97 shots on net in 64 games this season.
Impact Very few people would have predicted double-digit goals for Soucy heading into 2021-22. The 27-year-old also went plus-7 -- an impressive mark given the Kraken were outscored 194-155 at even strength (excluding extra-attacker situations). He also brought physicality with 118 hits, 73 blocked shots and 47 PIM while earning more power-play time in the last month of the campaign. Soucy will need to maintain that role with the man advantage to stay in the fantasy conversation, especially since it's unlikely he shoots 10.3 percent for another full season. He is one year away from unrestricted free agency.
