Wander Franco - Tallies hit in return Franco went 1-for-5 Sunday against the Pirates.

Impact Franco returned from nearly a month-long absence caused by a quadriceps issue. His lone hit came in the third inning on an infield single, though it was encouraging that he was able to get down the line without a problem. Franco had failed to homer in 110 at-bats prior to going down with the injury, but it's possible he'll pick up his power pace now that he's presumably back to full health.

Impact While making his fifth start in six games Sunday, Paredes continued his sizzling ways at the plate. Over those five starts, Paredes has produced an otherworldly 2.093 OPS and seven extra-base hits (five home runs and two doubles) in 21 plate appearances. Paredes' hot streak is likely enough for him to hold down a regular role in the Tampa Bay lineup for the time being, with the 23-year-old capable of filling in at first base, third base or second base.

Impact Raley converted the rare save opportunity, pitching around a two-out walk to secure the victory. The lefty was called upon to close out a game for the first time since May 11. The Rays have spread around save chances this season with Colin Poche receiving the bulk of the opportunities of late. With four saves, Raley is now one behind both Poche and Andrew Kittredge for the team lead. Though Phillips' playing-time outlook has improved of late with Manuel Margot (knee) and Kevin Kiermaier (hip) landing on the injured list, shortstop Wander Franco's (quadriceps) return to the lineup Sunday along with infielder Isaac Paredes making a case for a more prominent role could result in Phillips sitting out more than expected. Impact Paredes singled in the bottom of the sixth before launching a solo homer off Chase De Jong in the bottom of the eighth frame. He later delivered a walkoff two-run single in the bottom of the ninth inning, giving the Rays the 6-5 victory. The long ball was the 23-year-old's 10th of the season and he has now gone deep in three straight games, delivering five homers and eight RBI over those contests. Paredes is now batting .232 with 10 home runs, 20 RBI and 17 runs over 95 at-bats in 33 games this year.
